To be ME or NOT me?

I’m writing a new book, in a different sub-genre for me, and I’ve been wondering: SHOULD I publish under a pen name? It feels like all the rage to reinvent myself. I mean…it’s real-life-storytelling. I can make up a cool name (maybe Bubbles?), and tell you whatever I want about myself. I could have a cat and eat carrot cake while I write in my bay window. Maybe I found the love of life on a ski slope, and we married at the top of the same mountain a year later with my curious cat tucked in my coat. Whatever I craft will surely be more exciting than a mom of two who like doughnuts and has been writing Romance for the last eleven years with my beagles by my side.

It’s a way to test the waters. Perhaps, it makes writing and storytelling sexier to do it under a new persona?

It’s become harder and harder to hold onto an audience. Bookshelves and Amazon flooded with new arrivals daily.

I just cant’t decide if I want to be a shiny newcomer or the great big comeback? What do you say? Comment below, the more the merrier!
